FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to 3411 Cheviot Drive to assist medics who were dispatched to a medical 911 call around 2 p.m.
Once on scene, police and medics were directed to an upstairs apartment where an unresponsive male was observed. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police at the time said that the death appeared to be suspicious in nature so detectives, the Allen Coroner’s office and Allen County Prosecutor’s office personnel were summoned to the scene to conduct a thorough and comprehensive death investigation.
On Tuesday, May 28, the Allen County Coroner released the following:
“The autopsy has been completed and the next of kin has been notified of the death of Korta Seon Queary. Korta Seon Queary, 41 was found down in his apartment in the 3400 block of Cheviot Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana at about 1400 hours on Friday, May 24, 2019.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and death was pronounced at the scene.
The Cause of Death is Gunshot Wound of the Head and the Manner of Death is Homicide. Korta Seon Queary is the 9th Homicide in Allen County for 2019.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.”
