Diners evacuated from Las Lomas after storage area fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The FWFD says that a fire in a storage area forced 25 people to evacuate a local Mexican restaurant Friday night.

Crews were dispatched to Las Lomas in the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue just before 10 p.m. on reports of the fire.

Officials with the Fort Wayne Fire Department released the following:

FWFD units were called to Las Lomas in the 2200 block of Fairfield just before 10 p.m. to find a small fire in the rear of the establishment. All occupants had exited the structure proir to FWFD arrival. The fire was contained to a section of wall in a storage area. No injuries were reported and the cause is currently under investigation. Other agencies assisting were TRAA, NIPSCO, AEP, FWPD and Board of Health.
