Indiana Waterways: The Art of Conservation

See the works of five artists and their views of Indiana waterways in this exhibition of 60 paintings designed to call attention to the importance of protecting the state’s 62,000 miles of rivers, streams and tributaries in Indiana. The artists are Avon Waters (from Converse, working in pastels), John Kelty (Fort Wayne, watercolors), Curt Stanfield (Rosedale, oils) and brothers Dan and Tom Woodson (Muncie, oils); their subject matter is from all over Indiana.

Military drills and guard duty are also part of the soldiers’ daily duties. Visit with the soldiers. Witness what it is like to live in a frontier fort during the winter months.

Continental soldiers and militia will be performing daily duties and work details. Civilian refugees and local inhabitants will be plying their trades, cooking, sewing, and mending. Military drills and training will take place weather dependent. Come warm yourself by the fire. Witness how an army survives the winter months on the frontier.
