No foul play suspected in death of man found in field

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – We now know the identity of a man that was found dead in a field off Oakwood Drive over the weekend. The coroner’s office released the following:

“Sukari A. Hogan, male black, 40 years of
age, from Indianapolis, Indiana. Sukari A. Hogan was found in the field near the 3300 block of Oakwood Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at about 09:30 hours.
The Cause and Manner of Death are both pending at this time. Foul play is not expected in the death of Sukari A. Hogan.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.”

FORT WAYNE, Ind.(ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a man was found dead in a field.

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, at approximately 9:35 AM, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of the 3300 block of Oakwood Drive in reference to an unresponsive male laying in a field. As officers and paramedics arrived in the area, they located an adult male lying in a field unresponsive.

Paramedics pronounced the male to be deceased. Investigators were advised that an individual was walking in the field and observed the body lying in the field before calling 911. Investigators canvassed the area speaking with neighbors to see if they could provide information to assist them with their investigation. Crime Scene Technicians arrived on the scene to collect any evidence that could be available as well as documenting the scene.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police Departments Detective Bureau at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP. The identity of the victim, as well as the exact cause and manner of death, will be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutors Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
