INDIANA NEWS: 1 man killed, 1 hurt in Grant County shooting

GRANT CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Grant County Sheriff’s office says one man is dead and another injured in an early morning shooting.
According to a release, around 12:36 Sunday morning, police received a 911 call from a woman who said her son had been shot.
Officers responded to 1105 South 4th Ave. Jonesboro, Indiana and found 51-year-old Larry Pavey shot multiple times.
81-year-old Gene Thompson was also found with a gunshot wound.

Thompson died in an ambulance on his way to the hospital. Pavey was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

Police say they are looking for at least two unknown suspects believed to be driving an extended cab pickup truck red or dark in color.

The Jonesboro Police Department is actively investigating the case along with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police.
