INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – It’s a little early for the red kettles throughout the Hoosier state, but the Salvation Army says it’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas.
Salvation Army Major Marc Johnson yesterday said they are starting their annual fundraising drive early this year. Johnson says the fear is that many people will skip the trip to the store this holiday season, and that would lead to a lot fewer donations to those red kettles.
Instead, Johnson says, the Salvation Army is starting to raise money through its Rescue Christmas campaign.
You can find out how to donate or volunteer at the Salvation Army’s website.
