INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – It could be a while before police and local leaders know just how bad the damage is from central Indiana’s latest round of storms. Forecasters say a line of severe thunderstorms cut across the state last night. There are a handful of reports of tornadoes. The town of Pendleton, in Madison County, took a direct hit. There are no reports of any deaths in Pendleton, but local emergency managers say as many as 75 homes have been destroyed.

Cleanup is also underway after several tornadoes struck Ohio. City officials in Dayton say some residents are waking up this morning to no power.
A boil-water advisory as the local water plants and pump stations are without power. In Mercer County, NBC News reports at least seven people are being treated for injuries, though no deaths have been reported. Montgomery County officials say a large, dangerous tornado touched down last night. Sheriff Rob Streck says many roads were closed due to debris. More tornadoes hit near Vandalia and Trotwood. The National Weather Service had issued around three dozen tornado warnings overnight. Tornadoes also struck several other states yesterday including Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, and Oklahoma.
