TSA officers stop 74 firearms at Indy airport in 2021

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – TSA officers at the Indianapolis International Airport are seeing more firearms at security checkpoints. In 2021, they stopped 74 firearms from coming through on carry-on baggage.

That’s up from 36 firearms in 2020, and 62 in 2019. Civilians who try to bring a firearm onto a plane can face fines from the TSA.
