FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A Fort Wayne woman is behind bars for her baby’s death last year.
Police say that 34-year-old Ashly Townsend was arrested yesterday.
She’s being charged for leaving her baby at home in April of last year to spend a booze-filled night at a bar and then a hotel with a friend. The baby died.
Doctors say it was a SIDS death. Prosecutors are pushing ahead with neglect charges.
